I tried it every which way I could think of. On the swing arm from the right side (the way it is supposed to work), on the frame, from the left side, from the rear to the axle nuts (it wouldn't reach). Just could not get it to work. Now I'm a little nervous about shelling out for one of those $100 models just to find out that it won't fit either. Does anyone know of one available here in the states that they know for a fact will work with the Savage? Thanks, and ride safe.
